Pocatello holds 23rd ‘Biggest Show’

The “Biggest Show in Idaho” is expected to draw another big crowd this year.

The Independence Day festivities kick off at noon Saturday at the soccer fields at the Bannock County Fairgrounds on Olympus Drive.

Musical acts start at 2 p.m. They are Dan & Heather, the Jack Sewitt Band, the Maw Band and the Kyd J Band.

A flag ceremony will be held during the Kyd J Band’s performance, which will be followed by fireworks.

“(We’re) pushing it more toward a family event. We’ve got a lot of kids’ things set up, like big bouncy houses, games and things like that,” event committee member John Azzola said. “We’re trying to make it a really big family-oriented ‘staycation.'”
