ISU celebrates National French Fry Day

As part of their Monday Fun Day series, Idaho State University’s summer programs hosted a french fry bar in observance of National French Fry Day.

People had a number of toppings to choose from, including nacho cheese, chili and poutine.

The bar was supposed to run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., but the event proved so popular organizers had to close shop around 12:15 p.m. when the food ran out.

“We even went above and beyond what we could,” said Amy Klein, summer program coordinator. “Unforunately, it was just misplanning. I don’t think we took into account word of mouth, but it’s great that everybody came out and was able to enjoy some free food.”

The next and last Monday Fun Day event for the summer will be a slip-and-slide day at Bartz Field from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
