Lead in search for missing toddler yields no results

A lead in that missing toddler case out of Lemhi County has come up short.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office says it got a call Monday evening that Deorr Kunz Jr. was seen at the Ammon Walmart. A woman saw a man with a kid who fit the description. The sheriff’s office looked at surveillance video from Walmart. They were able to get in touch with the man and confirmed the boy is not Deorr.

Local News 8 spoke to Deorr’s aunt and grandmother.

They say calling the police with tips like that one is the best way to help. They say they’ve been seeing people post about sightings on social media, but encourage you to call police instead. They say it’s more effective because the posts on Facebook and other websites might not be seen.

This is still an on going investigation. If you have any information that could help find Deorr, call the Lemhi County Sheriff’s Office at 208-756-8980.
