Zoo hosts Midsummer night fundraiser

The Pocatello Zoological Society and Pocatello Zoo are teaming up for their annual “Midsummer’s Night” event.

Dinner will be catered by The Sand Trap. There will also be a live band, dancing, silent auction and raffled prizes. All funds raised by tonight’s event will go towards building a new entrance to the zoo.

“What we’ve got is live auctions, silent auction, raffle tickets, bands, gas, food and lodging. And we’ll be catered through the sand trap with some pulled pork. It’s just going to be a really fun night. All kinds of great auction items that have been donated throughout the community from businesses and personal supporters of the zoo,” said Peter Pruett, zoo superintendent

Tickets are $25 per person.

The event starts at 6 p.m.
