Third annual Summerfest Humanitarian Day held

Today is the third annual Summerfest Humanitarian Day.

The charity the summerfest committee has decided to work with this year is Dando Amor.
Dando Amor is a charitable organization that helps with orphans in Ecuador, Africa and Haiti.
The organization came together today with the Rexburg Rotary club to put together baby blankets, hygiene & school kits for kids in need around the world.

“Service above self is our moto,” says Dana Wade, president of the Rexburg Rotary club. “
This is one great event that not only brings the community together but brings the international dance teams together as well and we’d like to be apart of it.”

Even after Summerfest ends there are still way people can contribute.

Summerfest Humanitarian Day committee head Kristin Nelson says if you’d like to donate supplies you can contact the Chamber of Commerce in Rexburg to do so.
Dando Amor is also collecting new shoes to send to children in haiti.
