Reality television star helps out

Josh Albers, from ABC’s “The Bachelorette,” lent his support to the My Brother’s Back fundraiser. It’s for a young man who was in a horseback riding accident.

The community came together for the event. People stopped by different booths to buy snacks. Plenty of volunteers were there to help set up.

“I didn’t do anything to really to deserve to be put on a show. If that simple bit of celebrity status if you want to call it, if that can help raise money for him and his family, you know, that’s the least I can do is to use that to mine and their advantage, ” said Albers.

Sen. Roy Lacey also stopped by the event to discuss the Medigap.

“We opted with the black and white because it doesn’t matter, we should always have our brother’s back. I think what’s so profound about this, how it’s come together. Josh doesn’t know Patrick, didn’t know him. And out of the goodness of his heart he has his brother’s back. And I think that is such a great example,” said Camile Carter, event coordinator.

All proceeds raised from Saturday’s event will go towards the My Brother’s Back organization and Patrick Scott Kennedy, the man who was injured in the horse accident.
