Police investigate two arson fires at Idaho Falls business

Idaho Falls Police are investigating two arson fires at Porter’s Craft and Frame at 25th Street and Hitt Road Wednesday night.

An outside fire was reported at the business shortly before 7:30 p.m. A second outside fire burning several wicker baskets in a wooden container was reported at 10 p.m. Firefighters quickly brought both fires under control before they caused extensive damage. Both incidents caused about $2,000 in damage.

Porter’s general manager Alex Nielsen said the business would be open for business Thursday.

Idaho Falls Police arrested two 14-year-old boys and one 15-year-old boy in connection to those incidents, as well as several other reports of vandalism and vehicle burglaries around the city Wednesday night.
