Monday marks first day back for ISU students

Monday was the first take back in classes for thousands of returning Idaho State University students.

The Gate City community gave them a big welcome back at the Old Town Pavilion Monday afternoon with the sixth annual Welcome Back Orange and Black celebration.

This year, there dozens of booths, free food and a marching band.

“Honestly, I missed it,” said ISU sophomore Ibraheem Ramadan. “At first I didn’t think I was gonna like it, but then after my freshman year, I came early actually, like two weeks early before school started just because I missed because this is more like my home now.”
