Get your Greek on

If you’re a foodie the Pocatello Annual Greek Festival is where you want to be.

You don’t have to travel to the Greek Islands in order to get your Greek on.

Admission was free and the smell in the air was enough to attract people.

“It’s a community event you know something different for the weekend. Great food all homemade,” said Tim Floore, the vice president of the church council.

A new family who just moved here joined in the fun and embraces the Greek culture.

“I Love gyro’s and Greek culture, just so much that the Greek culture has brought to America, words there’s a lot of Greek words,” said Michael Scarlett a attendee.

Music and dance is a big part of Greek culture, a performance by a dance troupe traveled from Utah to dance for Pocatello residents.

A cruiser bike was being raffled off, and guest bought their tickets for $3.

The event lasts until 8 p.m., and the funds raised will go toward the restoration of the church.
