Man arrested for malicious injury to property and burglary

Idaho Falls Police arrested 32-year-old Jason W. Nebeker for burglary and felony malicious injury to property after he damaged three buildings and burglarized a bank early Wednesday morning.

Nebeker of Idaho Falls was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

According to the Idaho Falls Police report, officers responded to a burglary alarm at U.S. Bank, 585 East First Street, around 3 a.m. bank security observed a male, identified as Nebeker, via a video feed smash an exterior window with a garbage can and enter the bank. Nebeker used a drinking fountain and walked around inside the bank before leaving.

Officers located him near 4th and Holmes Avenue.

During their investigation, officers learned that Nebeker also damaged two windows at the Shiloh Foursquare Church, 205 South Holmes Avenue, and a door at Padron Counseling, 550 East 2nd Street #152, prior to the entering the bank.

Total damage to all three buildings is estimated at $2,800.
