Idaho Falls man arrested for attempted strangulation

The Idaho Falls Police arrested 35 year old Jerry R. Bolland for attempted strangulation, aggravated assault and felony no contact order violation Wednesday night.

Bolland of Idaho Falls was also cited for driving without privileges.

According to police reports, IFPD officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of West Broadway for a physical domestic incident in progress around 8 p.m. The reporting party said Bolland choked a woman and attempted to get her into a truck against her will. The reporting party also stated that the female got away and Bolland nearly ran her over with the truck.

Officers made contact with Bolland and the 33?year?old victim in an alley just off of West Broadway.

Bolland has prior no contact order violations within the last five years.
