Many people want to experience the Wellness Complex

The Gate City is excited to welcome the Portneuf Wellness Complex to the community.

The $15 million venue had its ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday morning.

Many people came out with their families to experience the amenities the complex has to offer.

Maria Hancock, who lives nearby, said she has watched the construction for months and could not wait for the grand opening.

“So we are really excited to just walk down here, we’ve already walked down to both of the concerts. So it’s just really nice to have this in our own neighborhood. It’s just incredible to have a facility like this, a big concert venue like this where we might be able to see real shows for a change,” said Hancock.

There was fishing, free ice cream, a climbing wall and a kids playground.

Rainbow Maldonado said, she hasn’t seen anything like this in the state of Idaho.

“It’s amazing. But it’s all in wellness, I mean it’s bring your family down and get healthy and come together as a community and celebrate this great venue that we are at,” said Maldonado.

The Portneuf Health Trust invested the funds to make this project possible.
