Idaho Falls man arrested for forgery

An Idaho Falls man was arrested Thursday night on a felony warrant for forgery.

Idaho Falls police said Derek A. Hampton, 26, was under investigation for forging the checks of an unrelated, deceased person. According to reports, Hampton forged checks in June on at least two occasions in the amount of $1,775 each.

Hampton was also arrested for three misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear and probation violation.
