Fire burning southeast of Minidoka

The Bureau of Land Management said a brush fire is burning 10 miles southeast of Minidoka.

Front of burn has slowed but the flanks are actively burning., they said. High winds are causing it to move quickly.

No structures or farm land in danger, they said.

The fire is reported to be approximately 6,000 acres.

BLM said 2 rural fire departments, 6 engines, 7 aircraft, 2 dozers, and 1 watertender are fighting the fire.

Smoke from the fire can be seen west of American Falls.
