Gibson Jack Trail closed to public
Starting Monday, the Gibson Jack Trail will be closed for construction for about a month.
The construction project is moving the trailhead and parking area 800 feet to the west. The move will expand the current parking area and add a turnaround for visitors with horse or ATV trailers.
The U.S. Forest Service said the trail’s popularity has crowded the area, causing people to park in nearby residential areas.
Construction is expected to take about four to six weeks.
