Hawthorne and Quinn Intersection design completed
Pocatello highway engineers have completed preliminary design of the Hawthorne-Quinn Intersection Improvement project.
The design includes a signal and other improvements to improve safety and reduce congestion. The designs are based on public input during open house meetings last April.
“The project is moving along about as smoothly as we could expect,” said Jeff Mansfield, Project Engineer for the City of Pocatello.
Final design and right-of-way acquisition should be complete in 2017. Mansfield said construction is expected to begin in 2018.
