Mayor Paul Loomis defends Blackfoot franchise fee proposal

Bingham County republicans hosted a forum Wednesday to discuss a proposed Idaho Power Company franchise fee.

Mayor Paul Loomis defended the proposal. He said the 3 percent fee on monthly electricity bills would be collected by the power company, but used by the city to make street repairs.
