Plane crash victim tried to rescue father

Local News 8 and KIDK Eyewitness News 3 has obtained the 911 call of the girl who survived a plane crash near Palisades Reservoir.

After listening to the call we will not be releasing or airing the audio in consideration to the family.

What the call does show is that 14-year-old Anna-Beth Hamilton is a hero for trying to save her father using CPR. In the recording she told Bonneville County dispatchers that she tried CPR four times. Despite her brave efforts, her father Travis Hamilton died at the site of the crash.

The crash happened last Thursday as Anna-Beth and her father were flying through star valley. The pair are from Oklahoma.

Anna-belle was flown to the hospital where she was treated for some minor injuries. On the recording she told the dispatcher she hurt her wrist.
