Two men hospitalized after I-15 crash
Two people were hospitalized when two semi trucks crashed on Interstate 15 at milepost 114, south of Idaho Falls at around 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
Idaho State Police said Vincent E. Wood, 41, of Rigby was traveling southbound in a 2015 Peterbuilt tractor hauling two trailers. The second trailer disconnected and came to rest in the middle of the Interstate.
Jefferey P. Mumper, 57, of Lower Lake, California was traveling southbound when he struck the detached trailer.
Both men were wearing seatbelts and were transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
One southbound lane of the interstate was blocked for approximately 8 hours.
