BYU-Idaho students collect cards for local veterans

A group of Brigham Young University-Idaho students are teaming up with a local business to show support for veterans.

Monday the group set up a booth where students could hand-write cards of appreciation to local veterans. They could also make them more personal and address it to a veteran in their lives.

Veteran Paul Notarangelo says it is important to give thanks to all veterans.

“No matter what branch of the service, or when they served in combat, they just don’t get enough thanks, and they need it now.”

If you want to show appreciation to a veteran, the booth will be in front of the Burg Restaurant in Rexburg Tuesday from Noon to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The booth will be in the same place on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The notes will be delivered to the local Veterans of Foreign Wars where they will be read and shared by veterans.
