Students give thanks to vets

A group of Brigham Young University Idaho students have teamed up with a couple or local businesses, and set up a booth to give thanks to veterans.

The booth was set up so students can hand-write cards of appreciation to local veterans, or they can make it more personal and address it to a vet in their lives.

They want to make sure that veterans get the recognition that they need

Paul Notarangelo, a veteran, says that it is important to give thanks to all veterans “No matter what branch of service, or when they served in combat, they just don’t get enough thanks, and they need it. Now with a lot of people being negative as I’m seeing, it needs to be more positive for the vets.”

The booth will be in front of The Burg in Rexburg, Tuesday from noon-4, and Wednesday, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

The notes will then be delivered to the local Veterans of Foreign Wars branch in Rexburg.
