BBB launches free online tool to fight scams

Tired of getting calls know to be a scam? The Better Business Bureau is making it easier for people to report those.

It’s through a free online tool the BBB has launched nationwide. It has a map showing where scams are being reported, what types of scams are happening in the area, and even how much money some people are losing.

“It gives people the opportunity to look things up when you get that weird contact from somebody,” said Samantha Gillihan, from the BBB. “We’ve heard a lot of people say ‘It’s a great tool for me to kind of have 24 hour a day access to what’s real and what’s not real, and to get the word out there about what I experienced.'”
