Dangerous train track photos
Taking wedding photos and selfies on the train tracks has become popular.
Sargent Jeff Edwards with the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office said not only is this dangerous, people are trespassing.
“I’ve seen multiple pictures, basically people with their senior photos to try to get pictures of older trains or train track locations. There have been some wedding photos, and it’s just not safe. And Idaho Operations Lifesaver wants people to know that if you are anywhere near the tracks, you need to be looking for trains,” said Edwards.
He also said a train traveling 50 miles per hour takes almost a mile to stop.
Last year southeast Idaho reported two deadly train accidents and one with serious injury.
