Local mom talks about being in Paris at the time of Friday’s attacks

A local woman currently in Paris with her family, and is staying only a couple of miles from where some of the attacks happened.

Katie Jolley, a blogger and mother of three, recounted the night of the attack on her blog.

Jolley says that she has noticed tighter security since the attacks, but adds things are getting back to normal.

As for after the terror was over?

“I didn’t feel like a foreign person I felt like I was living it with the French people, and we were united, it was a really weird feeling.”

Here in Idaho a french exchange student at Brigham Young University-Idaho, Silvere Heraudau, said he can’t believe the outpouring of support from across the U.S.

“Just to show support for our country, and yeah I was kind of amazed to see the that number, that much support.”

Jolley said that “So I’ve been thinking a lot about what that french men quoted.
When he said if stop living our lives and that will show that the terrorist win.”

She and her family are taking that to heart. She said they are still enjoying their time and enjoying the sights.
