Bannock County creates Citizen’s Jail Advisory Group

Bannock County commissioners have unanimously voted to create a Citizen’s Jail Advisory Group.

The group will examine overcrowding issues at the Bannock County Jail, including any need for expansion and an estimated $3 million in necessary repairs.

Commissioners will be making appointments to the advisory group over the next several weeks.

Candidates will have to pass a voluntary background check by the Sheriff’s Office.
