USPS opens retail store in Ammon

Mailing something in Ammon just got easier. The U.S. Postal Service has opened a new location in the Hitt The Road convenience store.

The USPS held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of a new contract postal unit, or CPU, inside a convenience store in Ammon. The new location offers almost all the services of a full service post office, at no extra cost.

Linda Pickett, a retail manager for the Salt Lake region of the USPS said that the main reason it was put there is due to convenient location, “It’s right here, it’s in their neighborhood, it gives them a postal presence. It gives them a chance to utilize the postal service where they live, shop, eat, play, all that good stuff.”
