UPDATE: Prisoner found after walking away from Treasure Valley Community Reentry Center

The Idaho Department of Corrections has taken a walk-away inmate back into custody.

The Idaho Statesman reports that James Douglas Pearson was captured Saturday at about 3:30 a.m.

Pearson was assigned to the Treasure Valley Community Re-entry Center when he walked away from his job. He was last seen in the area of 47th and Adams in Garden City.

Corrections officials worked with the Caldwell Police Department to locate Pearson.

He was serving a three-to-10 year sentence for burglary convictions in Bingham and Bonneville Counties. He would have been eligible for parole in March and his sentence was set to end in 2023.
