Idaho Falls Ski Club talks avalanche awareness

Monday night the Idaho Falls Ski Club held its 7th annual avalanche awareness meeting at Taylorview Middle School.

The event included information about avalanche safety, speeches and prizes.

For one of the speakers avalanche awareness is very personal.

“My son died in an avalanche on South Teton,” said Idaho Falls Ski Club member Lani Landon.

The Idaho Falls Ski Club will be sponsoring avalanche safety classes in January.
