Juvenile arrested after posting threat on Facebook

A Marsh Valley High School student was arrested Sunday night for allegedly posting a threatening message on Facebook.

The message threatened the high school’s student body and was supposed to be carried out Monday.

The Marsh Valley School District and the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office investigated the threat. After interviewing him, the student was arrested in his home and taken to the juvenile detention center.

Superintendent Marvin Hansen said after the arrest, the district felt things were OK. That said, classes went on as normal Monday at the high school.
