Town of Jackson approves non-discrimination ordinance

The Jackson Town Council has unanimously approved a resolution supporting non-discrimination.

The resolution specifically prohibits discrimination on the basis of an individual’s actual or perceived sexual orientation and gender identity. The resolution is intended to support the quality of life of both residents and guests.

According to town staff, the resolution will have minimal legal complications and will require no additional action by the town.
