Hill gives legislative preview

Sen. Brent Hill met with the Idaho Falls City Club today . He spoke on issues that will affect Idahoans during this upcoming legislative session.

He said there is a 2-to-1 ratio of Idahoans happy with their tax costs and what they provide. Although, he sees cuts in the highest income tax bracket.

Medicaid was also a large topic of discussion, and whether Idaho will expand Medicaid services.
Hill said with the attention around the Affordable Care Act and the promises to repeal by presidential candidates, it may not be something to worry about because it could be leaving anyway.

In his closing remarks Hill said, “At important times America has been preserved and protected, but how can that continue if we are cynical from within.”
