News Producer
KIFI Local News 8 and KIDK Eyewitness News have an opening for a News Producer. NPG of Idaho is the news leader in Eastern Idaho and Western Idaho.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day production of one of our newscasts. You will work with reporters, managers and other to determine the content and flow of the newscast.
You will work with some of the industry’s best equipment, including ENPS, Imagine’s Velocity editing software and three live trucks.
The area is an outdoor paradise with Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks just a couple of hours away from our main studios.
Candidates should have a four-year degree in communications, journalism or a similar field. They should also have solid news judgment and be able to multitask and be able to manage their time in order to put together an exciting newscast.
This position will require you to rewrite stories from the AP, ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX and other regional stations.
You will also be required to write compelling teases for our newscasts and keep our award winning website up-to-date with the latest news. You must also be available to work all shifts, including weekends, overnights and holidays.
