Holiday season stress reliever

Forty-five percent of Americans would prefer to skip out on Christmas, according to a 2014 Think Finance survey,

The holidays can be a busy time of year for most people. Every day stress such as working long hours and taking care of the family on top of holiday shopping can add to stress.

According to a poll by the American Psychological Association nearly a quarter of Americans reported feeling “extreme stress” come holiday time.

Sage Day Spa in Rexburg, offers guests full body massages, facials, pedicures, manicures and body treatments.

One massage therapist notices the holiday stress in her clients.

“I’m seeing a lot of literal pains in the neck. The holiday season it is so stressful that I am literally seeing the pain in the neck. So we get started and work from the top to the bottom, head to toe,” said Jeni Beseris, manager of Sage Day Spa.

Clients who come for treatments leave feeling replenished and rejuvenated said Crystal Watson, co-owner of Sage Day Spa.

“Any mom any sister, any person really needs to focus on themselves first and that makes us better able to take care of everything we need to take care of families, holidays, shopping everything like that.”

Watson also said they have great seasonal promotions and product to offer guests.

American Psychological Association also reports 69 percent of people felt stressed due to to lack of time and 51 percent stressed over the pressures of gift giving.
