Man dies after house fire in Fremont County
The South Fremont Fire district responded to a house fire at around 6:15 am Monday at 350 East 5th North in St. Anthony.
According to a spokesman for the fire district, when responders reached the home they found Curtis Young in medical distress. Young was transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where he died of medical causes not associated directly with the fire. An autopsy is likely to determine the exact cause of death
The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical space heater in the basement of the house, but that has not been confirmed. The state fire investigator will be at the site of the fire Tuesday.
The rest of the family escaped from the fire unharmed.
