Dozens of accidents reported in Pocatello Monday

Pocatello Police said they responded to 34 accidents because of the snow and ice that fell on the city Monday.

Pocatello saw 8 inches of snow in the downtown area, while the benches saw up to a foot of snow.

People were digging out by shoveling their sidewalks and driveways. Josef Burns said he shoveled four times Monday. “We moved here from Oklahoma about a year back, and we definitely got a lot of winter weather there, too. Not so much snow, as we did ice. So you know, bad roads and slipping everywhere, just not a big fan of it,” Burns said.

The forecast shows more snow could be moving in the area by Wednesday afternoon.
