Museum of Idaho receives $500,000 grant for expansion

The National Endowment for the Humanities is awarding a $500,000 grant to the Museum of Idaho.

The money will be used to expand the museum.

Director of Development Nick Gailey said the grant says a lot about the museum, but even more about the community.

“There were only ten places in the United States that received a half a million dollar grant, so we’re one of the ten,” he said. “We’re proud and pleased, but it’s just a real compliment to the greater Idaho Falls community and the wonderful people and companies that make it up.”
