Morning and Noon Anchor / Producer

KIFI Local News 8 and KIDK Eyewitness News 3 seeks a full-time Anchor/Producer to help grow the station’s news products while growing their career.

The duties for this position primarily include anchoring our two-hour morning show in addition to anchoring and producing our noon show. When required to report, shoot and edit news stories, including in-depth special reports, this position will use some of the latest technology and equipment, including a 100% non-linear newsroom, two live trucks, and a LiveU (wireless internet news gathering unit).

The right candidate will be excited to join a vibrant team of journalists who remain on the cutting edge of this constantly changing field. Candidate must be an effective communicator, strong writer, enterprising reporter and have a professional, yet comfortable, on-camera appearance which projects both credibility and personality to our viewers. Although not required, prior experience as an anchor is preferred.

A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication or a related field is preferred. A current driver’s license and proof of insurance is needed, as this position is expected to operate a company or personal vehicle for business use.

KIFI/KIDK has a reputation of sending high-quality anchors and reporters to top 50 markets, including Salt Lake City, Denver, and Minneapolis.

Candidate must pass a background check, MVR check and drug screening.
