Pedestrian taken to EIRMC following accident on Highway 20

A pedestrian is in the hospital tonight after being hit by a car near Ucon.

Idaho State Police say the accident happened around 9 p.m. Monday on Highway 20 at milepost 316.

Hillary Granger of Sherwood, Oregon was westbound in a Ford Explorer. Granger swerved to miss a person crossing the roadway in front of her. She lost control and slid into the median hitting another person already in the median.

That person was taken by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Their condition is unknown at this time.

The crash in under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Policeis asking for any witnesses of the incident to contact the District Office at 208 525-7377.
