Idaho Fish and Game proposes new Teton River boat launch

Using donated property and in cooperation with Madison County, the Idaho Fish and Game Department is proposing to construct a new boat launch on the South Fork of the Teton River.

The agency plans to create an access point on the Teton River below Rexburg. It would allow boat traffic from that point to the confluence with the Henry’s Fork, about six miles downstream at Beaver Dick Park.

The project would include a new 15 foot wide by 68 foot long boat ramp and related infrastructure, including a vault toilet, ADA parking, connecting roads, signs, and fences.

Regional Fisheries Manager Dan Garren will accept public comments through January 25, 2016.
