South Valley Road is opened to the public
Pocatello marked the work of decades Wednesday as a ceremonial ribbon- cutting officially opened the South Valley Road.
“There have been many times this project looked like it could have ended but one thing has remained constant, the will of so many to see it through to the end,” said Mayor Brian Blad.
Blad joined former Mayors Roger Chase and Greg Anderson in the first car to officially ride the road. They led a convoy of other local leaders on a ceremonial cruise of the one mile stretch of road.
