Students accompany teacher battling cancer at Star Wars showing

A South Fremont High School teacher battling pancreatic cancer checks off an item from his bucket list- seeing Star Wars The Force Awakens. A lot of us have that one teacher that forever leaves and imprint on our hearts.

“He’s just always been there for me,” said one student.

Which is why as William Farley works to beat cancer in what could be his final days, his students are being there for him. On Thursday, several students and their families joined Mr. Farley to see a film in one of his favorite series.

Although his ride brought him to the movie theater a little late, students were excited and grateful to spend sometime with their favorite teacher.

When asked how to make their Christmas a little brighter, the Farley’s said they do have some stray cats that need homes and some other help with their animals. If you’re interested in helping out the Farley’s, you can contact alasyn.zimmerman@localnews8.com.
