86-year-old man receives free furnace for Christmas

LeRoy Wilde received a new free furnace from a Aire Force One, a heating and cooling company that wanted to keep Wilde warm for this holiday season. This is their 6th annual event of giving a free furnace away to someone in need.

“I appreciate it. I’ve been friends with Wayne for 45 years now,” said Wilde.

Wayne Barlow, who works for Aire Force One says throughout their long-time friendship, Wilde has done nothing but donate his time and efforts to everyone in the community.

Wilde lives alone in a two-story house, he’s surrounded by family memories hung on his living room wall.

“It all started when LeRoy called me and said he was cold. I knew he needed the furnace and he’s helped the community out for such a long time. I just couldn’t pass him up,” said Barlow.

Wilde has lived in Pocatello since the 1950s and recalls the days with his wife, and now can peacefully do so with the heart-warming gesture from his friend.
