Local businesses eliminating drunk drivers for NYE

Yellow Cab of Pocatello is offering free rides tonight for anyone unable to drive due to alcohol or any other kind of impairment. The aim is to keep more drunk drivers off our roads. And to keep our roads safe, considering the snow and ice is a big enough potential driving hazard as it is.

“We’re offering free rides to anyone who can’t drive, and we’ll pick them up from anywhere just to make sure they get home safe,” said Charlie Potter of Yellow Cab.

Another business that is watching out for people is The Bridge, wine bar in downtown Pocatello. They’re expecting over 200 people tonight, but they have their own limitation and rules on intoxicated customers. They use their best judgement on when a person has had too much to drink.

“I think after so much of a certain liquor that we know that’s really high in alcohol content. After quite a few like 5 or 6, we will start watching and being careful about it. It does depend on the person,” said Bartender, Amanda Campbell.

If there’s anyone you know of that needs a ride, don’t hesitate to save a life and call Yellow Cab for their free ride. 208-223-8294
