Making new year resolutions…and keeping them.
After fireworks stop popping, what goals are you focused on for 2016? Making them is one thing, but staying disciplined enough to stick to them, is another…every year.
According to an article in the Huffington Post, making a list, making unavoidable notifications for yourself, and even pinning it on your refrigerator can help you stick to them.
“My resolution is go on more vacations, and have a trip to Hawaii. You know, on the beach in the sand, with a margarita in my hand. That’s what works,” said Auto Parts Specialist Amanda Collett of O’Reilly.
Collett understand that a goal is so much more than making them, but keeping them and then, knowing how to achieve it is another.
“Save my money and hopefully get time off from work.”
She hopes to land in Hawaii with her boyfriend next fall or winter, when the weather is much to cold here in Pocatello.
Lastly, the Huffington Post advises to celebrate your wins and progress made along the way.
Discipline! Discipline! Discipline!
