Pocatello church holds barbeque to raise funds for bus

Tasty BBQ ribs, pulled pork, and po’boy sandwiches is what’s on the menu and up for grabs. The Lighthouse Church of Pocatello is raising money for a new bus, to be able to transport their Sunday school children.

Neuenfeldt currently drives a van to provide transportation for Sunday school kids, and he says he makes three separate trips. A bus would allow him to take only one round trip each Sunday.

Foor sales began two weeks ago, and the sale of the Blessed Barbeque will continue each Saturday. A full rack of ribs costs about $20 and a po’boy sandwich goes for $5.

Church member Victor Neuenfeldt manages the smoker and serves anyone who comes down.

They’ve set up shop in the Key Bank parking lot on Yellowstone Ave. today from 11a.m. to 5p.m.
