Walmart shuttle picks up students and community members

Walmart is offering students and community members a free ride.

They have teamed up with Salt Lake Express to give students and community members reliable transportation to their Walmart locations.

Rexburg Walmart Manager, Mike Bullard said the reason behind the shuttle service is customers and students asked for it.

“Complaints from customers saying they can’t get to us, that it’s too far away. So we want to accommodate them with this shuttle.”

The shuttle service will make eight total stops which are located around BYU-Idaho’s campus.

Bullard said students asked for the shuttle service because some of them don’t have any transportation.

“We put it in place to help get people who don’t have vehicles. We’re quit a ways out of town, the new Supercenter is about an extra mile from the old location.”

Salt Lake Express has also created an app for the Walmart shuttle with stops, routes and times at www.rexburgwalmartshuttle.com.

The shuttle will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and 9:15 p.m. will be the last shuttle pickup.
