Pocatello man found dead next to his running car, police investigating

The Pocatello Police Department is investigating the death of a man who was found lying next to his running car.

According to Dianne Brush, public information officer for the Pocatello Police Department, 61-year-old Gustav Winterfeld was found dead lying next to his still running car Sunday evening.

The accident occurred in the 100 block of Warren.

Police don’t believe at this time that there was any kind of foul play. They are continuing to investigate the death as an accident.
