Sales – Paid Internship

KIFI and KIDK-TV are accepting resumes for a paid broadcast/digital sales internship.

We offer real-world, hands-on experience with the goal of preparing sales candidates for full-time employment in our Idaho Falls Sales Department.

This KIFI and KIDK sales internship is open to currently enrolled college/university juniors and seniors. Preference will be given to students who plan to live and work in the Idaho Falls area or one of the other 9 News-Press and Gazette broadcast markets: http://npgco.com

Eligibility requirements:

Intern candidates must be currently enrolled in Communications, Marketing, Broadcast Sales, English, a Professional Sales program, or a related field. Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week for a 12 week period between the months of June and August; days and hours will vary to coincide with college schedule. Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be self-motivated, able to work under pressure and be passionate about interacting with all levels of people both inside and outside the organization.

Creative individuals with superior communications skills are encouraged to apply. Duties include working alongside experienced sales executives and managers in a supportive environment to develop the essential skills to become a Solution based Marketing Consultant to local companies for their television and digital advertising needs.

We offer a competitive hourly wage; interns are not eligible for insurance benefits, holiday pay or PTO; internship employment is contingent upon the successful outcome of a background check and drug screening. Candidates will need to have a current driver’s license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation, as well as being sufficiently mobile to allow for business travel.
