Man arrested for attempted strangulation and domestic battery

Mackenzie R. Bischoff, 24, was arrested Tuesday night for felony domestic battery.

Idaho Falls Police were called to the 500 block of South Old Butte Road around 5:15 p.m. for a disturbance. Officers said an investigation revealed Bischoff pushed, pinned, and grabbed the throat of a 27-year-old woman in the presence of three children.

Bischoff also damaged several doors, pieces of furniture, toys and household items during the disturbance. Police said he also punched a 21-year-old neighbor during the incident.

Bischoff was booked into the Bonneville County jail on charges of felony domestic battery in the presence of a child, felony malicious injury to property, attempted strangulation, battery and two Bannock County warrants.
