Blackfoot man charged after fighting Pocatello police

Pocatello Police arrested Elliot Lyle Johnnie, 57, at 105 Jefferson late Thursday night.

According to police, a convenience store manager complained Johnnie was approaching customers for handouts at around midnight. They said Johnnie had been cited for trespassing there at an earlier date.

Johnnie was charged with trespassing, resisting and obstructing an officer and battery. According to reports he fought officers who were attempting to take him into custody.

Johnnie has a long record of previous trespassing violations involving Pocatello Police.
